The ONIX team is thrilled to celebrate an outstanding achievement by long-time ONIX ambassador Marc Petruccelli and his partner, John Plateo, who battled their way to a Silver medal at the Premier Admiral Cup on November 7th. Competing in the highly competitive 4.0+, 50+ category, this dynamic duo demonstrated exceptional skill, strategy, and resilience.

This year’s Admiral Cup was no ordinary event. Hosted at the prestigious Vaughan Pickleplex in Vaughan, Ontario, the tournament brought together players from across the region for a full day of high-level competition. The Pickleplex is widely recognized as a premier destination for pickleball enthusiasts, featuring eight spacious, dedicated indoor courts, professional-grade nets, high-quality fencing, and impressive 25-foot-plus ceilings that elevate the playing experience for athletes of all levels.

The scale of the tournament made Marc and John’s accomplishment even more remarkable. With 345 players competing across multiple skill and age divisions—from 19+ to 70+, and ratings from 2.5 all the way to OPEN/PRO—the intensity was high and the competition fierce. Despite the pressure, Marc and John rose to the occasion, showcasing unwavering determination and outstanding teamwork to secure a well-deserved podium finish.
